Yet the rush to freeze, seize, and block assets raises questions worth sitting with before we celebrate speed as inherently superior.

Consider what happens when platforms make freeze decisions in real time, under pressure, with incomplete information. A transaction gets flagged. Assets lock. The compliance team acts fast. But what if the intelligence was incomplete? What if the address flagged actually belonged to a legitimate user caught in a false positive? What if the crime actually required deeper investigation rather than immediate action?
