Luxor raised $16 million in a funding round led by CMT Digital to expand its cloud platform, GPU hardware business, and compute trading operations. Ethan Vera of Luxor and Sam Hallene of CMT Digital discussed the funding on Bitcoin Magazine's video platform.
The round targets scaling Luxor's infrastructure for AI compute. Vera and Hallene explained how Bitcoin mining expertise applies to AI infrastructure development. Luxor offers a cloud service with runners, sandboxes, and code review tools. The company also plans to develop sandboxes for AI agents.
GPU demand remains constrained. The report notes that Nvidia hardware is sold out for the year. Luxor intends to build compute derivatives and liquidity tools for AI markets.
Bitcoin mining remains a core part of Luxor's business alongside the AI compute expansion.
